Join Us June 30 at noon for a Community Grant Planning Meeting

Great news!

The library found out late Friday, June 25th, that we were one of the 34 libraries selected nationwide to receive a ALA COVID Library Relief Grant (no match required). We will be receiving $30,000 from the American Library Association (ALA) for teens and young adults programming, which includes hiring a part-time Library Assistant.

The project is for six months and all input is welcome.  

A simple Lunch will be served at the library tomorrow starting at Noon.

A Few Things We Will Be Talking About

• Teens will be learning Tryon history
• STEM Gardening, growing milkweed and pollinator gardening and Monarch Butterfly cultivation
• Creating a mural
• Creating a tech café for teens
• Life lessons, like map reading and more.

Copies of the budget and narrative will be shared at the Noon planning lunch meeting 6/30/21.
